Senior Sales Leadership Role at a Fast-Growing Cybersecurity Firm
Abnormal Security is hiring a remote Area VP to lead enterprise sales teams across the West and South Central US — and the numbers behind this role are worth a look.
If you're a seasoned sales leader with enterprise software experience, Abnormal Security has an Area Vice President opening that's fully remote and based in the US. The position sits one level below the VP of Enterprise Sales and puts you in charge of multiple frontline sales managers and their teams across a defined geographic territory.
The core job is straightforward: push new annual recurring revenue well past quota, not just to the line. You'd be running full deal cycles on large enterprise accounts — organizations with more than 3,000 mailboxes — from first call through to closed contract, and then staying involved in upsell conversations once those accounts are live.
What makes this role interesting for the right person is the company's current trajectory. Abnormal is growing at over 40% year over year and already counts more than 4,500 customers, including over a quarter of the Fortune 500. More importantly for a sales leader, the product scope is actively expanding beyond email security into identity protection, AI security, and insider threat — which means your team has a growing set of solutions to bring to market rather than a single, mature pitch.
Recruiting and building out the team is explicitly part of the role, so this isn't a position for someone who just wants to manage an existing bench. If you enjoy building, this kind of high-growth environment typically offers more room to shape culture and process than a leadership post at a legacy player would.
