The position calls for at least five years of hands-on work with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, so this isn't a role for someone still building their Salesforce foundation. You'd be writing Apex code — classes, triggers, batch jobs, the works — and building Lightning Web Components from scratch rather than clicking things together in a UI.
On the integration side, the client runs a complex stack. You'd be connecting Salesforce to external tools like ERPs, marketing platforms, and data warehouses using REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth2 flows, and event-driven approaches including MuleSoft. Knowing how to keep those connections secure and performant matters here.
Data modeling chops are also a must. The role involves designing custom and junction objects and writing SOQL and SOSL queries that won't blow governor limits under heavy load — the kind of problem-solving that separates senior developers from mid-level ones.
