Databricks Is Hiring a Remote Deployment Strategist in India
Databricks has opened a senior remote role in India for someone who can bridge complex business problems and AI solutions at the executive level.
Databricks is building out a Forward Deployed Engineering team — a new initiative with direct backing from the company's CEO and founders. The team's focus is on landing and delivering high-value AI projects for strategic enterprise customers, with an emphasis on real outcomes rather than just selling software licenses.
The Deployment Strategist role sits at the center of this effort. Think of it as a product manager embedded in the field: you own the direction of a customer engagement from the first sales conversation all the way through to a working, production-ready solution. That means earning C-suite trust, mapping the customer's technical and organizational landscape, and defining what a successful pilot actually looks like.
Practically speaking, the job involves writing the product requirements that guide the engineering team, scoping the value of each engagement, and acting as the connective tissue between what a customer needs and what the technical team builds. You're the 'why and what' person; the engineers handle the 'how.'
The position is fully remote and based in India, making it a strong option for experienced product or technical professionals in that region who want to work on cutting-edge AI deployments without being tied to an office.
