BlueGeko Is Hiring a Remote IT Infrastructure Engineer
London-based BlueGeko has a full-time remote opening for a seasoned IT Infrastructure Engineer to keep their systems running smoothly.
If you've spent at least four years keeping servers alive, networks secure, and infrastructure humming, BlueGeko wants to hear from you. The company — headquartered in London — is bringing on a full-time remote engineer to own the health and reliability of their IT environment.
Day-to-day, you'd be handling everything from server and network maintenance to access controls, backups, and system configurations. Monitoring performance, chasing down hardware gremlins, and supporting migrations and upgrades are all part of the mix. The role is broad in the classic sysadmin sense — you're the person who makes sure nothing quietly breaks.
Solid footing in both Windows and Linux is a must, along with hands-on networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud or virtualization setups rounds out the core requirements.
Bonus points go to candidates who have worked with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean, or who can automate their way out of repetitive tasks using PowerShell or Bash. If scripting and infrastructure-as-code are already in your toolkit, you'll stand out.
